Taking a Warp Pipe Over to ToyForce Ajax

As part of my ongoing relationship with the good people at ToyForce, BrickManGraeme was invited to display an interactive piece of art for the ToyForce event in Ajax on March 25th. Being a Nintendo fan, I always wanted to do a Super Mario themed scene, and with an abundance of green DUPLO, I was able to make it come true in a way that allowed the families attending the event to immerse themselves into my vision.

The final product allowed children and families to step into the large Warp Pipe with a brick-built prop of their choice, be it a Question Block or a 1-Up. The pipe was a real hit, drawing in children, families – even Wonder Woman felt compelled to come in and try out the tube!

Kids loved trying to pick up Yoshi’s egg, and playing with Yoshi’s flexible tongue as well. I always have a blast going beyond the Toronto area with my art and building creation with the ToyForce crew, and look forward to collaborating with them more on future installations.
